Annulation of domain
-
Hello! Last week I bought a domain with my collaborator but the site didn’t pleased us. So we cancelled our account premium, but when we try to annulate the domain and get the refund, it says that the annulation will be valid only the next year. How can I resolve it? Thank you!

We can only offer refunds on domain purchases within 96 hours of purchase: https://wordpress.com/support/manage-purchases/#refund-policy

Hello, macmanx!
In the same day that we created the site we asked the support for the annulation of the domain, as you can see in the archives. But we had one problem: the information was that the domain could only be cancelled in a year.
Seeing our will of annulation of all the services since the first day we bought them, how can we proceed?
Thank you

Hi there!
I can see you have reached out to us previously and we replied on March 15th with instructions on how you can cancel your purchases and obtain a refund.
Unfortunately, now it’s no longer possible to refund the domain as it has been way over 96h after the purchase. But do not worry, you do not need to keep this domain on WordPress.com – you can use it with a site hosted elsewhere. Since this is a new domain, you’ll need to wait 60 days to be able to transfer it out (it’s the ICANN requirement for all new domains) but, you can use it with another host right away by changing the name servers as explained here:
https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/change-name-servers/
You can also do that by updating the A records if you prefer:
https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/setting-custom-a-records/
Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.
