Anonymous users keep harassing me at my blog.

  I have the IP address to the people that have been leaving abusive comments, but because they don’t leave a Web site or Word Press site to their own sites, I can’t block them.

  I send their harassing comments to the spam folder, but the next day their thousands of notifications keep showing up again and popping up.

  Suggestion to word press: If a feature could be made to block abusive comments for good and block sites from specific users and specific IP addresses, it would make the blogging world a little safer.

  I’ve been harassed for two years and counting now by these individuals who keep following me. I’ve ignored them, gotten the admins to other forums where they harass me at to lock them down from registering accounts at those other sites they harass me, but they won’t leave me alone at my own blog.

  I’m getting sick of these people with nothing better to do doing this for a living. I come online to promote my stories, blog and to vent while these people who harass people anonymously have nothing better to do with their times than to attack people who put their information out there.

  I really don’t care about the people who misjudge me. I’ve only been paying attention to the people who do like my blog sites and stories, but the people who don’t like me won’t leave me alone. I don’t care if they dislike me and I don’t care who listens to their gossip, but they won’t stop blowing up my notifications making comments.

  Every day I have to send their comments to the spam folder so the notifications don’t show up for that day.

  Sorry to hear you are having trouble with some anonymous users. It’s never fun to feel harassed for sharing your thoughts.

  We do allow you to hold comments containing certain words or block comments from an IP address under the Comment Moderation and Comment Blacklist settings on this page:

  Another method is to disable comments for posts.

  I would also like to ask that if the comments are harassing, but not spam, you delete them instead of marking them as spam.
