Another blogger’s posts appear in my comments column.

Today a post from https://lordbeariofbow.com appeared in my blog as an ‘info’ . This happened before when another blogger’s post appeared. I mentioned it to both of the bloggers and everyone appears puzzled.

Hi,
I think you might be referring to pingbacks. The Pingbacks support page says, “Pings are automatically sent if you have a public blog. If your blog is private or if you block search engines, pings will not be sent.” However, they may be disabled on individual posts as described in the Disabling Pingbacks section of the support page.

Could also be trackbacks. Unchecking the box “Allow Pingbacks & Trackbacks” (see Disabling Pingbacks) on each post will block them from appearing in your comments.
