Another Broken Reader Problem – w/ Comments

  I am getting a ton of comments in my reader from http://www.thesmartcookiecook.com/ – yes it is a .ORG site but they moved from here and use JetPack. I am not subscribed to comments – nor am I leaving comments on the site – but my reader is getting full of comments

  A couple of the comment links are below

  The links seem to dump me down at the leave a comment part of the Post

  This new “feature” is getting quite annoying after a few days

  Also I did not change any settings in the reader nor (thankfully) are any of the other blogs I am subscribed to doing this

  Hm, I’m confused I think. You mean that comments are showing up as posts in the Reader, or are these in My Activities?

  Comments Just from Smart Cookie – I have not commented on Smart Cookie in maybe a year – The Posts are from last year – just looked at one of them and no comment from me on it –

  Maybe if you are also in a good mood would you please fix my spelling on the title of this thread – thanks

  Ok, that’s super-weird, we shouldn’t be showing comments there (or I’m still confused).

  Oh, it looks like you somehow subscribed to that blog’s Comments RSS feed, or you were subscribed to their main feed and they rolled everything into a Feedburner feed or something.

  What I’d do is unsub from everything title “The Smart Cookie” in the Reader, there appear to be 3 under your account, then resubscribe to the desired one.

  I could only find two entries – but they are gone now – the part that I don’t understand is that there were no comments subscribed to as best I could see

  My best guess is that they funneled their comments feed into the main feed somehow. People do odd things. :)
