another question regarding new image uploader

    I kind of like the new interface, but somehow the image uploader makes me sad.
    Please have a look at this postcard gallery blog I was making (and I couldn’t really continue after the new uploader)

    That time all I needed to do is upload an image, and insert to page with option: “thumbnail size” and “link to page” (and it automatically creates a page for the image afterward).

    I cannot do the same thing now. If I upload an image, I still can use thumbnail size option, but I cannot “link to page” anymore.. Even if I change the HTML (extra work!) the image page is not created automatically like before.

    or is there anything I’m missing?

    Please help!

    What browser and version are you using? Also, which uploader?

    I’m using FF 2.0.0.14 and the Browser Uploader and I have the option to link to file or to page; the URL is automatically included unless I wipe it out, and you can pick None, Page, or File from the three options below. I generally wipe the URL out and replace it with the URL of the source page, so that the image links to the page from which I took it.

    I think I know ilyani means. If you click link to page it links to the post that image is in. In old versions of wordpress you could link images from the post they are in, to their own individual pages (separate url)… it was really good.

    Is this feature gone forever? I miss it.

    You want to “link to file.” That links to the image and opens it full sized in the browser.
