Another RSS question – still confused!
-
I recently posted a question about getting an RSS widget on my side bar and have that happening now (thnak you!)
However, when people click on my RSS badge, they get a page of text. When I click on other blog’s RSS badges so that I can subscribe to their feed, I get a screen that asks me if I wnat to join through Google Reader etc. That is what I want my (future) readers to see when they click on my badge.
Where have I gone wrong. Also, such a petty little thing but my badge is red and I can’t figure how to change the code so that it is orange.
Thanks for all the help – it is very appreciated.

The other people need to have a feed reader installed.
Your browser connects the feed to google reader – if they don’t have a reader that can’t happen.
-
And if you look at the FAQ you’ll see they have buttons of all different colours for your RSS feed.

Thanks Mark & raincoaster.
Sorry to be a pain in the ****, but I have tried to click on my own rss badge on my blog (when I am not signed in to wordpress) and still get the page of text even though I have a feed reader installed (Google reader).
It s abit sad when the only person who currently wants to subscribe to my blog (me!) can’t! ;)Thanks again

taraskipp: you can subscribe by going into your google reader account and putting your feed url in it, can’t you?

Subscribing to your own feed is – I think – a good idea.
If you accidentally delete a post, it’s still available.
The same for comments if you take that feed too.(It won’t get pages of course)
