Anti Malware Query
-
Hi,
Would WordPress have a standard built in anti malware that would prevent images or files containing malware to be added onto website?
ie: If a product image that contains malware was to be added to website, would it be flagged? If not would the malware be capable of shutting down websites?
Any clarification on this would be very helpful.
Thank you.I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

You find usefull info regarding security on the wordpress.com platform at https://wordpress.com/support/security/

Here at WordPress.com we don’t allow custom code on the Personal, Premium, and Free plans, which means they are safe and secure behind our cutting edge firewall and other security measures.
Additionally, we limit the types of files you can upload:

With that said, nothing is 100% guaranteed and you do need to exercise some control and management over who has access to the backend of your site. Additionally you need to take care of what files you’re uploading as there’s the expectation that you’re taking precautions to not deliberately take down your site. Please see this for more information:

I hope that helps!
