any chance to speed up refund?

Recently I got an auto renew from you guys. Unfortunately I did not remember to cancel it and it sent my account into overdraft. I already cancelled the charge but it says that it will take 7-10 days to process.
My bank is telling me I need the charge refunded first before I can have them remove the overdraft fee. Is there any way to make this refund happen faster? If it stays that way for 5 more days I will be charged another overdraft on top of it and I really don’t want that.

You will be refunded to the same payment method you used for your purchase. After processing, refunds usually take about five to ten business days to appear on your statement. For credit card refunds, it could take up to 1-2 billing cycles for the refund to show up. International refunds can take even longer to reach you. Your financial institution is going to be able to tell you when to expect the refund and how it will be listed on your statement.

^ I’m not sure I understand this sentence. How could my bank possibly know when the refund will come if it needs to be processed on WordPress’ end? Seems backwards to me.

Hi @ferrazphoto, I’m sorry to hear that. The refund was already processed on our end yesterday, and is already being routed back to you.
There’s no way for us to hurry it along on our end. Your bank should be able to let you know as soon as that comes through on their end, though.

You bet. If you don’t see it after the timeframe you were given, I’d recommend calling the bank first to see if it’s stuck in routing. Good luck!
