Stats are not real time and make take several hours to update.

They will probably never be truly accurate and reconcilable.

The only way to get a definitive answer from Staff on this issue is to tag the thread for Staff attention and I have now done that.

Hi there,

There is a time lag on the stats. It should only be a few hours at most, but I have seen a few reports of longer. I have also seen a few questions arising from the stats related to countries.

I’ll take this to the internal team and keep you posted.

Sorry for not following up sooner. As zandyring said, all our stats reporting is delayed. Views and “Views by Country” are pretty fast, though, and reflect our count usually within a minute of the activity. The new visitors count can be delayed for a much longer time because of the way it is processed. For this reason, it’s currently best to reflect on your visitor stats for previous days. We are actively working on shortening this processing time.

There continues to be a fault on stats with ‘Views by country’ feature.

The central icon rotates continuously and the feature does not upload.

Can WordPress engineers correct the problem please?

Can you please let me know which operating system and browser you are using? When you say “continues” — can you please let me know how long it has been since you first noticed this issue and does it happen every time you load the stats page or only occasionally?

Thanks for your response.

Operating system is Windows 7 Home premium.

Browsers used are Google Chrome and Internet Explorer – fault shows with both.

Fault began about 36 hours ago and is persistent, not sporadic.

I made a change. Can you please clear your browser cache and try loading the stats page again? Let me know if the Views by Country panel has returned.

Hi Jeff,

Many thanks indeed, the stats feature is working now – I value seeing where my visitors originate!

A further change is that the photos on the blog no longer have a frame – an improvement in presentation.
