Add topic to favorites
When I post on my blog my profile picture appears. However when I reply to people who have commented or I comment on others’ blogs my avatar just shows a pattern
.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you referring to the appearance on your own blog?
To enable Gravatar display and hovercard display on your blog go to > Settings > Discussion and scroll way done the page to “Avatars”.

Also note that not all blogs are gravatar equipped and some that are may not have gravatar display enabled.

Thank you. I will look at the link you gave me. Yes. My picture appears on my blog when I post but not on my reples to comments, either on my own blog or others’ blogs. I have run my blog for four years and this just happened a few days ago.

Perhaps you are referring to a different site and not https://journeyintopoetry.wordpress.com/.

What is the URL of the exact site your refer to as “my blog ” please?

Will you also post a link to a post on it where your gravatar does not appear on your commment?

I can’t see anywhere on the right hand side that says ‘subscribe’ but it says at the top that I am subscribed to. This topic. Does that mean I will be notified?

Hi there,

Is it possible that you weren’t logged into your WordPress.com account when you were making those comments (without your Gravatar image)? I just checked the ID of the comments that were made without the Gravatar image and it’s an account that doesn’t exist. However, the comments you made with your Gravatar image show up as that account.

Can you make a test comment (please make sure you are logged into this account under the username: journeyintopoetry) and let me know if you still have this issue?

Do you mean make a test comment here? If so this is a test. My photo will probably show. it seems to be when Ireply to comments that it doesn’t show. At the bottom of posts where you leave a comment and beside the login details, my details are all correct and I am logged in but the photo just doesn’t show. It appears Im not logged in but in actual fact I am

Thank you all for your help on this. I have just this minute noticed that just below where we make comments and our login details appear,there was one letter missing at the end of my email address, even though this shows correctly on my profile settings. So I simply saved my settings again and the whole thing has corrected itself!!. I can hardly believe it is something so simple but how on earth the ‘m’ was missed off ‘com’ at the end of my email address will remains a mystery! Thank you again for the support.
