Any idea why I'm getting fake search site hits (google.imgres, etc)?
-
Hi WP Peeps…
I’ve noticed lately that my site stats seem (sadly) inflated by a lot of semi-fraudulant web searches. For instance, I’m apparently huge on google.imgres. Whatever that is. Are you aware that this is happening, or why, or how I can get my site stats to have more fidelity to actual clicks/views?
Thanks!

A referrer like http://www.google.com/imgres is a Google Images referrer. Sometimes the search engines change the way their referrers look. That happened recently with Google and we’ve now place all of the search engine referrers into one group in the Referrers section inside your stats page.
