Any ideas on getting traffic to PAGES

    From what I can tell, it seems that the pages of my site get virtually no traffic compared to the blog entries. I guess this may be because there are no tags associated with them.

    Any ideas on how to drive more traffic to pages? The only thing I can think of is to put a “advertisement” blog entry summarizing the page and referring to the page with a link…

    Use the pages widget and lower your expectations.

    The whole reason blogs are recommended for SEO is that blog posts naturally have several times as much Google juice as a static page. I work for a couple of companies that have blogs attached to their main sites simply to get ranked higher and draw in people who come to the blog via search engines.

    Because pages are not dynamic, people are only going to look at them once or twice. I list my classes on the pages and only ever update the date, but when I want to pimp out the classes, I make a post on the blog, I don’t tell people to look at the page. I am averaging four registrations because of blog posts for every one because of a static page.
