Any plugin I try to install fails, anyone know why?

I try to install a plugin direct from wordpress library or even download the .zip and then try to upload install it but they fail to install everytime! Any help would be greatly appreciated

http://treadingdesign.wordpress.com/ is a wordpress.COM hosted blog. It is not a wordpress.ORG software install and you cannot upload and install plugins on it.

For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.

You can hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting and move your content into a WordPress.ORG install https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-to-a-self-hosted-wordpress-site/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.
