Any themes with footer widgets?

Thanks for the support. I’m not retracting any of the rant. And btw, I still don’t use blocks at all on my own sites, reusable or not. The recent forced blockification of the widgets page is IMO the lowest point in the devolution of WP.com to date. It stunned me virtually into silence for awhile. Eventually I realized it just the latest step in the dismantling of the WP-Admin interface. They’ve failed to convince everybody to leave it behind, so they’re going to continue to rip it away from use piece by piece until there’s nothing left. The WP-Admin editor is still the heart, and it’s beating just as healthily as ever, but the limbs of that once splendid body are being torn off and discarded one by one.
p.s. On my sites I use only retired themes, because I consider them superior (even WordPress.com was recently referring to them as “Advanced” to differentiate them from the newer ones in the Themes page), and only the WP-Admin editor, except where I’m forced to use the Customizer.

I meant, “and only the WP-Admin editor, and only WP-Admin administrative pages when possible, except where I’m forced to use the Customizer or (for account management) the Calypso interface.”

Clarification: The themes that they were calling “Advanced” until recently in the Themes page were not just the retired themes, but (I think) all the older themes that weren’t specifically designed for blocks.
