Any tips for migrating to self-hosted site?

    My premium membership is about to expire and I’ve decided to move to self-hosting. I plan on starting this on November 1.

    I was wondering if there are any tips to make the migration of my current website to self-hosted easier.

    I’m also wondering: Will my wordpress.com website be available while I set up my new website? I have my own domain name now (http://traumamamadrama.com) and will keep it after I move – will people who have my website bookmarked still be able to get to my self-hosted website if it has the same url? And, finally, If I change the titles of my posts, will that change the URL in my self-hosted webpage?
