Anyone else getting timeouts trying to admin their blog?
-
Reader/Stats/browsing the blog are all fine….
Just cannot admin it..
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Ditto. Haven’t been able to access my blog since Saturday. I was posting every day for months straight and now that I can’t, I’m getting blogging withdrawals…lol.
When will this be fixed?

glad I am not the only one…
Just hope this is not so poor attempt to combat the botnet attacking wordpress sites around the world….
Hopefully someone official sees this post and makes a comment…

No, you’re not alone; tho it’s a bit different for me. I try to log in, and I get a “Security” box asking for login and password…I put the correct info in (and I’m checked, double checked and even quadruple checked…I’m entering the correct info with the correct capitalization of what correctly needs to be capitalized), and I get bumped out.
I’d like to continue my blog, please… :(

Update information:
I am perfectly able to login and use the http://wordpress.com/#! interface but I still cannot get to the Dashboard.
I tried posting via http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ which does load but the moment I press “Save” on a newly created “test post” the button changes to “Saving” and sits there for – well, I have left it running now for three minutes and still counting….

Continuous bumping won’t get you a staff response any sooner!!! It makes you look like a spammer.
This topic has a modlook tag and staff will see it.
Please subscribe so you’ll be notified when there is a response.

Bump looking like a spammer… well, If someone had mentioned earlier that a mod was giving it attention then I would have stopped… I have not had good response on the forum from “official staff” on critical issues like this – hence the bump to keep the post ‘active’ till someone replied.
The login link provided by timethief is what I have been trying to use and it still times out…

This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer most questions and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention.
There are pages of threads wherein bloggers who posted long before you did are patiently waiting for Staff assistance. Creating duplicate threads is not a wise thing to do. When we create a support ticket by contacting Support Staff by using the contact link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ or by flagging a thread here in the forums for their assistance it’s important to understand they have a backlog.
They deal with the support tickets, emails and threads on these peer support forums with the earliest dates first. So if we contact them more than once on the same issue or bump threads or create duplicate threads the date moves forward and it takes longer to get help.
This thread is flagged for Staff attention. What’s required is your patience please.

While I am a moderator, I am not staff: only a fellow blogger with no access to anything “behind the scenes.” The modlook tag is what staff checks to find problems we volunteers cannot address.

Ditto on the bump and yes, I realise and appreciate that this forum is manned by volunteers who give of their time and expertise to perhaps sometimes not deserving users. For that I apologise.
A suggestion while we wait patiently for a response, perhaps you could suggest a tweak to the forum that allows the poster to see that a forum post has been escalated. That is common practise in helpdesk products and does “buy” a certain amount of good-will patience from frustrated users.
I’ll shut my trap now until someone hopefully has a solution or I can get back into my blog.
-
Such a “tweak” would not be useful as some issues can be resolved by Staff in moments and some take hours or even days to resolve.

Figured I would attempt another login and voila, I can now get back into the Dashboard. Did nothing other than reopen a new tab in my already open browser and login again – something I had done multiple times when I first experienced the problem some time ago and which did nothing.
Thanks to timethief and 1tess for their attention but unless something was done behind the scenes this looks like another one of those “leave it and try again later” bugs that no-one will ever know the exact cause of.
