Anyone familiar with Saga theme?
-
I chose it because it is mobile friendly (and free) and has a clean look that I wanted for a website I am putting together for a starving artist (writer).
At first I was able to see the site as it would appear on desktop, tablet and mobile. But now I don’t seem to be given any options, just the desktop appearance.
Any ideas of how I go about viewing the site in tablet and mobile?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OK, further to my first post I now have a case of wandering content. The text I entered into the tagline has disappeared (and of course I wrote it on the fly and not from a word file so I can’t remember for the life of me what it said).
And, I now have a second text box area showing up in the menu?
WTF?
Can anyone help???

You can preview approximately what the site looks like on tablets and phones in the Customizer, by clicking one of the icons:
Is that perhaps what you remember?
You can get to the Customizer in a few different ways, for example My Sites > Customize, or WP Admin > Appearance > Customize.

The tagline can be found in a few places. In the Customizer, it’s in the Site Title, Tagline & Logo section.
In WP Admin, it’s under Settings > General:

Your current tagline is “Explore before you buy. Read excerpts and chapter headings from The Puck Talks Here: The amazing life & turbulent times of Peter Pocklington, libertarian, entrepreneur extraordinaire, and the man who brought NHL hockey and Wayne Gretzky to Edmonton, Canada.”
Some themes display the tagline on the front end, usually near the site title, while others don’t. It’s an aesthetic decision made by the theme’s designer.

I’m not sure what you mean here – could you explain the issue in more detail or even better, provide a screenshot?
Here’s a guide on how to make a screenshot:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/You can upload the screenshot – in a graphic format like JPG, PNG, or PDF – in your Media Library so I can see it. Thanks.

Thanks for this but fact is it all sorted itself out. All the glitches that showed up went away without my doing anything. Very weird and very frustrating. But it is all done and now looks fine on all the devices I have checked it out on… android smartphone, android tablet and PC laptop.
Appreciate the input.
Oh, and one of your fellow helper genies, Jason, helped me with another problem that seems to have also corrected itself this morning now that the new site has propagate through the Great WWW.

Working on a new blog with Sobe theme and having two problems: I can’t seem to get just the summaries to appear on the home page, and I don’t know how to view the site in tablet and mobile format.

Sobe displays full posts on the blog page, but if you’d like to display only a portion of the post you can use the More tag.
I don’t know how to view the site in tablet and mobile format.
I’m not sure quite what you mean, could you explain the issue you’re having in more detail? Sobe is a responsive theme, so it should adapt its layout automatically for all screen sizes.
If you need further help with Sobe, could you please start a new thread instead of continuing to add to this one about Saga? Thanks! You can start it here:

I did start one here:
