Anyone having trouble uploading images?

  @csinger13, another point of clarification: when you say Google iOS 5.1.1 do you mean you’re running the Apple OS version 5.1.1 and using the Chrome browser on your iPad, or do you mean something different here? If that’s what you mean, can you confirm that you are using Chrome vs Safari on your iPad?

  I had been using Safari, but recently installed Chrome. I now can’t even get on the website on my IPad. Chrome and Safari crash when I try to go on the WordPress website. This does not happen on other websites. On the WordPress app I get an error message that reads 403 Forbidden

  Hi there,

  You might try clearing both browsers’ caches.

  For Safari you can do this from the iPad’s Settings -> Safari > Clear Cookies and Data.

  For Chrome, you will need to do this within the browser itself:
  http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/Clear-Browsing-Data-In-Chrome-For-Iphone-And-Ipod-Touch.htm

  Once you’ve done that, please let me know if that improves your WordPress.com experience on either mobile browser.

  Hi csinger13,

  That’s very strange behavior. Do you have similar problems when connecting via a laptop or desktop computer?

  You may wish to try our WordPress app for iOS to see if you can access your blog that way.

  Yes, it is strange behavior and it’s very frustrating. I’ve restarted my iPad and tried again, but to no avail. Mi tried going to the website in Chrome and Safari as well. The site loads about 7/8ths of the way and then crashes. On the app, I am still unable to upload pictures and cannot use preview. Any suggestions?

  Hi csinger13,

  You didn’t mention whether or not you have the same issues on a desktop or laptop. Have you been able to test that?

  Also, are you able to load the following sites?

  http://s1.wp.com

  If not, can you let me know what the error message is?

  Hi again,

  I’m still not sure what could be causing this issue. To clarify, you have no issues using the app other than uploading images, but your browsers crash whenever you try to load WordPress.com in general? Can you give me a link to a URL that causes your browsers to crash?

  I’d like to see some screenshots for what happens when you try to upload images in each browser and in the WP.com app. Since you can’t upload screenshots to your media library, do you have a dropbox or Cloud App account, or can you upload screenshots to a free image sharing service?

  Also, to make sure this isn’t a connection issue, could you also paste the results from a traceroute for s0.wp.com? You will need to download an app to run this test. The following app is free and should do the trick:
