Anyone know of a plugin that will do this?

Hello, we have a search function on our wordpress site. When I do a search and I’m presented with the results, they are not shown in a random order. Is there a plugin that will ensure the results show the most recently updated content, including news blogs, relating to that search?

Sorry, I meant they ARE shown in a random order – and I would prefer the most recent content, by date, is shown first. Apologies for any confusion!
