Anything in WordPress Like Drupal Books?

I need users to be able to create their own lessons / guides / tutorials for my site. The Drupal books format is pretty ideal for this because it allows you to have sub-pages tied together into a single book. So I could allow my users to divide their guides into multiple pages but still publish it as a single work and even allow sub-pages of the pages.

A lot of the other stuff I wanted to pull off was much more difficult with Drupal though and I heard WP sites show higher in Google searches so I decided to switch.

Is there anything like this in WordPress or a plugin I could install to get such a feature?

I’m not familiar with that feature of Drupal, but would the various user-roles such as Editor, Author, and Contributor help toward what you’re trying to do?

The Author role is extremely nice, and perfectly suited for my general site theme, but in this particular problem I’m looking for a content type to give to authors that will be extremely good for creating detailed guides/lessons/tutorials that may have multiple pages.

Posts can be split into multiple pages. If you’re writing long, detailed posts you might also be happy to know that anchors are supported as well.

Those are both nice. I like that you can actually put there where you want them to. The links to sub-pages in Drupal books always had to be at the bottom of the page which I found very irritating.

Are these functions specific to blogs or can they be used for any form of content?
