Anyway to figure out who reserved a blog name?
-
I am helping a friend (my cycling coach) design a site using WordPress. Her company name is SavvyBike, and she owns savvybike.com. She wanted to have a blog at savvybike.wordpress.com (which will probably later migrate just to savvybike.com), but it says that site is reserved? browsing ot savvybike.wordpress.com shows that there is no site there… So… my question is, is there a way to find out if SHE registered this at some point and never did anything with it? She Doesn’t recall that, but is not sure if a previous web developer of hers did. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

When we register a username account the matching blog is reserved for our future use. It cannot be obtained by anyone other than the person who has registered the matching username account.

What follows is for your friend and do note that we would prefer to communicate directly with the friend rather than working through you.
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered any blog to access it.
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibilityIf you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
If required click the “Need More Help” link and complete the form for account recovery. Also note that what the underlying .wordPress.com blog URL is when one is domain mapping is irrelevant. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
