  We have set up a church app that I would like to connect to my blog. The service for the App needs an API key to connect to WordPress. I began my blog in 2008, so I should have one, but I have no idea what it is or how to find it.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The API key on WordPress.com was only used for activating the Akismet anti-spam plugin on self-hosted WordPress sites, and is specific to your account, not to a site in your account. That key is not used any more, and you cannot use it to connect your site to any app.

  If you have an app that needs to integrate with your site via an API it will need to use our new REST API. You can find the full technical documentation for the API here:
