API Key issues
-
I am having issues using my API key. Recently my server failed and I need to re-enter the API key. When I enter the API key I get the following error:
Your blog was unable to connect to WordPress.com. Please ask your host for help. (transport error – could not open socket: 32767 )
I am positive that it is the correct key and I am using the one I am given but it won’t work. I am not sure if it is related to the site having to start over again or the host having to buy a new server.

I think you may need to talk this over with staff:

I suggest you contact staff as this is something beyond us volunteers. I suspect it is a server setting or permission that needs to be changed. Include the email address for your account here, your username and a description of the problem as well as the error you received.
http://wordpress.com/contact-support/ (Mon-Fri 8am-4pm Pacific time) or using the “support” button in the upper right of your dashboard.

It’s the host you need to talk to – “Please ask your host for help. (transport error – could not open socket: 32767 )” – give them that.

The host said that the socket was open so I don’t think it is a host issue but I did submit a ticket again.
