API Key Problem – IIS
-
I’ve read some of the posts about others having problems getting their API key working.
I see that it could be caused because of lack of fopen ability.
Where do I find that settings in IIS? Or on IIS is it a different problem?
Thanks

I could be wrong but I sense you are in the wrong forum. This is the wordpress.com support forum. WordPress.com is a MU (multi-user) blogging platform. We run on a different code base than the version you can download from http://wordpress.org and you will get different answers to your questions here. The forum for self hosted and web hosted wordpress blogs is located over here http://wordpress.org/support You may want to take a few moments and read this description about the different versions of WordPress software posted in a pink “read me first” sticky at the head of this forum. If I’ve guessed correctly then your best bet would be to contact Automattic staff directly via an email to support at wordpress dot org. 99% of the time, your host isn’t allowing outbound connections of their server though IIRC. Mark also has some advice if you have a web host and an akismet problem you didn’t have previously http://wordpress.com/forums/topic.php?id=5432&replies=2If I’m not right about you being in the wrong forum and you are referring to a wordpress.com blog API problem then email support at wordpress dot com. There are a number of other threads already on the subject in our forum search box here at wordpress.com http://wordpress.com/forums/tags.php?tag=api

Just for reference, we’re doing Akismet API key support here but, since I don’t know IIS, maybe sending the poster over to wp.org is best. :)
