  Hi

  I’m using the Apostrophe 2 theme. The front page is static by default.
  Is there a limit to how long the front page can be? As it continues to grow, will it become a problem loading at some point?

  The front page is static by default.

  To clarify, your front page is displaying your latest posts, not a static page (like your About or Contact page).

  Is there a limit to how long the front page can be?

  No, there is no limit to the number of posts you can have.

  As it continues to grow, will it become a problem loading at some point?

  No – your posts are loaded dynamically in small batches of seven at a time, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

  Hi,

  I tried to click on “show recent posts’ and a message came up that
  said ‘the front page of this theme is static by default.” I like that it
  is ‘recent posts’.

  I’m not quite sure where you’re clicking “show recent posts”, but feel free to take a screenshot and I’d be glad to take a look if you like.

  Hi,

  Having gone back to look, I see that it has made the change.
  When I tried in the wee hours, it would not let me mark the
  ‘recent post’ button for some reason. Maybe I should do my
  customizing when I’m more awake.
