Apostrophe 2 displays page not found message
-
I am running a website with Paid Memebrship Pro and just recently changed the theme to Apostrophe 2. One snag — when a non-member clicks on protected content, instead of the PMPRO message saying that page is only available to members and a login box, it now displays a page not found error message. How do I get the correct PMPRO message to display?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Sorry to hear that. While you may need to contact Paid Membership Pro if this continues to be an issue, I’ve tried something on your site to see if that helps. Can you check again and let me know if you’re still getting the ‘page not found’ error?
If you’re curious, what I did is called a flush rewrite rule, which is essentially just visiting the Permalink setting and clicking Save Changes without actually making any changes. This solves a lot of issues that can result in a ‘page not found’ error being displayed.
Please check and let us know.
On a separate note, I noticed you don’t have an email configured for your domain fmquilters.org. Would you be interested in adding an email address that matches your domain? Feel free to check out our Professional Email service, which is free for the first three months. :)
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Sorry. what you attempted did not have any effect. Do you have any other suggestions? The problem happened as soon as I changed my site’s theme to Apostrophe. It displayed the error message correctly with ColorMag. Any other ideas?
Our nonprofit can’t pay for PMPro’s support. I have to depend on forums for answers.

Unfortunately, the change you made did not solve the problem. The correct error message was displayed before changing to Apostrophe 2 so I know it’s connected with the theme change. Do you have other suggestions? My group doesn’t have the budget to pay for PMPro’s support package so I can’t get help from them.

Hi there,
While we are experienced in general WordPress site issues, in this case we’re not familiar with how the Paid Membership Pro plugin since it is developed by a 3rd party, and not created by our in-house team. This limits how we can help since we can’t check in on the plugin directly and don’t have the tools to fix issues that it may be causing.
Trying the best I can here, I did a google search and it seems that this may be a known issue. I’m not sure how to help you resolve this but you may wish to try the steps they recommend here: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/how-to-troubleshoot-and-repair-404-errors-on-your-membership-site/
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!

I appreciate your help. I realize you’re not responsible for 3rd party plugins but I hoped you might have been asked about this problem by someone else. Or that another member of the forum might have an answer. I’ll follow the documenation you gave the link to. I tried 2 of the recommendations but there are others that I hadn’t come up with on my own. Thanks and I hope I find the solution or a work around.
