Apostrophe 2 theme header image not responsive
-
Please advise – I would like to add a header image to my new blog – have tried several themes and really like Apostrophe 2.
However, the site name and tag line lies on top of the image, with colors too light to display well (my image maybe too dark). Therefore I tried to incorporate the site name and tag as part of a header image – not good for smaller size screens, as the image gets cut off on the sides.

You’ve done it. There’s a header image added.
I’ll agree, that when you turn on the box in Customizer to display site title and tagline the font does not work well with the header image chosen.
Having that text, “Two nature loving pensioners exploring the wild” incorporated with the image creates a duplicate when you check the box in Customizer to display the site title and tagline.
I think that a better option for you might be to remove the site title and tagline all together from the header area. Instead, add that text in to an image that you can upload as the site logo. The site logo will site over top of the header image in the upper left corner.
