Apostrophe theme: How do I make the featured image show in the post
-
Hello!
Hope someone can help me :). I set featured image in my posts, and they show on the front page, but not in the post itself. So I solved this by adding the photo into the post, as well. BUT, when on my IPad or IPhone, this results in the photo showing up twice, as the featured image shows automatically in the post on these devices.
So my question is, how can I make my featured images show automatically in the posts when in Chrome, Firefox and Explorer, in the same way as they do in Safari?
Very thankful for advice, I have tried to search Support-site and forums, but haven’t found the solution myself, unfortunately.

Hi there! In many themes – including Apostrophe – the featured image appears on the blog page, but not single posts. If you want them displayed within the post you need to insert the image into the post itself, as you’ve done. There isn’t a way around this that I know of.
You could try inserting a different image within the post than the post’s featured image – that way you’d have some variety.

For the display on your mobile devices, I’d suggest you turn off the separate mobile theme you’ve activated under Appearance > Media. Apostrophe is already a responsive theme that automatically adapts to screens of various sizes, so there’s no need to activate the mobile stylesheet, which is intended for themes that aren’t responsive.
