apostrophe2 landing page

I want my page to look like the example, with large squares of pictures that have a small amount of writing underneath. I followed the instructions for ‘featured’ posts (I couldn’t do pages because there was no way to tag a page). But nothing shows up but a lot of writing.

    Hello!

The grid of images and text you see is the Apostrophe 2 example (demo site) is done with posts rather than pages, so you are good trying to achieve that look with Featured posts.

Without seeing your site and just going from you description of the problem, I suggest double-checking that you have a Featured image assigned for each Featured post.

Just to cover all bases, here are the instructions for setting up a Featured Content grid from the Apostrophe 2 documentation:

Up to six featured posts – consisting of bigger images and titles – can be displayed in an irregular Featured Content grid above the rest of your posts.

To set up the Featured Content area:

    1. Navigate to Customize → Featured Content.
    2. Choose a word to use as your Featured Content tag and add it in the text field.
    3. We suggest using a lowercase, single word, like featured.
    4. Click the Publish button to save changes.
    5. Create at least a few posts. For each post you’d like to feature, use the Tags & Categories area of the editor to add the tag you chose under Customize → Featured Content.
    6. Add a featured image to each post you’re featuring.

If a second try doesn’t go better and you still need help, please post again to share a link to your site.
