Apparent problem in reporting the site visitors
-
I have had seven bloggers that have liked my post today but the stat count shows that only three people have visited the site. I have been noticing these discrepancies for the past couple of months. Would you look into this internal glitch? It needs to be fixed.

People can ‘like’ a post from the Reader, and other places, without the need to visit your blog. Only a visit to your actual blog will count as a hit.

To be clear likes and shares are misleading when you are talking about page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can “like” and “share” your posts in several locations without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. Those who have username accounts only but no blog can become followers and click the “like” and/or “share” buttons. Those who do not have accounts cannot use the like button. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats/
