Apparently Plugins corrupted my site?

This is the response I received from our Service Provider about our site : http://www.learn.segsa.co.za?
    Morning Dean,

    ‘I hope all is well.
I am afraid I do not have good news.
The logic on the site is not working as it should, and I have done and checked all relevant settings to restore some sanity to this.

The multiple installation of LMS plugins might have added things in the WP database that does not want to reset.

An example: I sign up for a free course and then the site redirects me to checkout / cart but no product is added, it says cart is empty.
When I add a paid course, and continue to checkout it shows not the course paid I added but rather the free one I added earlier, and still says no payment method is available, although both Payfast and EFT is active. it is as if 2 or more cart systems is installed, and the system does not know what to use.

    My recommendation:
Add a clean site and clean install of EDUMA theme, import the courses you already created.
I will do the complete setup and import.
The site address will be something else like business.segsa.co.za, or whatever want – you can let me know about this, in order not to destroy the data we already have on the current system.

This is not the outcome we wanted, I know, but the time and effort to fix something that is broken is way more than to just start clean. It is of utmost importance to not install unnecessary plugins, or more than 1 of the same type. ‘

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

  • Hi there! Since http://learn.segsa.co.za is not hosted with WordPress.com, we wouldn’t be able to troubleshoot much.

We would recommend that you continue to work with your current provider/developer as it sounds like they have a recommended approach to fixing the problem.

If the site was previously working as expected, they may want to restore a backup from a time they know it was working.
