  Hi there,

  You can remove comments on your pages or posts by following the instructions on this help page:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments/

  It is important that you follow all of the instructions on this page as some of the controls are not available by default. You also need to be viewing a page or a post at the time when you start the process.

  Thank you! I changed themes and it went away. Also found out that the “comments” control was on the edit page, not in the widgets. I appreciate your help.
