Appearance > Customize > Site Title > Add Logo button is missing!

    I am trying to add a logo to my WordPress site. My theme has support for the logo, however the WordPress Appearance Customizer is missing the documented Add Logo option.

    The option is described here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-logo/
    This picture shows where the button should be:
    http://en.support.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/add-logo.jpg

    But the button is missing for me, no matter which theme I choose. My intended theme Goran, a version of Edin, shows the following PHP warning because the logo is not set, meaning it actually tries to get the setting:
    Warning: Creating default object from empty value in ***path_on_filesystem***/wp-content/themes/goran/inc/customizer.php on line 21

    (path removed in the post)
    Line 21 in the file:
    $wp_customize->get_setting( ‘site_logo’ )->transport = ‘refresh’;

    Now, I understand that I can simply put an HTML tag for the image in header.php or elsewhere, but that’s a bandaid fix, I would like the feature to work as it was designed. Is this a bug?

    Please help me fix this.

    Hi blogomips,

    I noticed that the blog that you need help with is a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. These forums are focused on helping users with their WordPress.com blogs. You may have better luck asking in the WordPress.org support forums.

    For the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, you may wish to read the support article here:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
