  Hi. i am trying to upload my own theme picture for the background of my new blog. I’m trying to follow the steps online that say click appearance then editor but i don’t see that option anywhere. Is that only in one of the upgraded versions? or did things change on the page? just a little confused :) Thank you!

  Hi there,

  There are two different versions of WordPress (.com and .org).

  “Appearance > editor” is only available with the .org version of WordPress.

  If you’d like to dd a background image to your theme on WordPress.com, this can be done in My Sites > customize > colors and backgrounds > select image.
