Why is the Appearance / Editor menu unavailable?

  I would like to edit my website, but I cannot manage to find the Editor menu.

  It is supposed to be under the appearance tab of the left pannel.

  I would like to use the editor so please tell me how to get there.

  WordPress.com does not offer the option to edit the theme html or php code. If you want to customize the source html or php code, you would need to switch to WordPress.org instead. Please see http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn more about the differences.
