Appearance menu and other menu features missing?

Hi there
I am new to worldpress and am reading up on how to edit my page. I am frequently told to go to the appearance menu and when looking at screenshots from others I can clearly see my page is missing it.
I am the admin for this page as was told this might be the issue so was wondering if anyone could help?

What are you having trouble editing? If your site is here at WordPress.com then the chances are that if you are looking at WordPress tutorials on YouTube they will be talking about the WordPress.org software which is somewhat different to WordPress.com. Although there is an “Appearance” menu at WordPress.com via the old wp-admin dashboard, pretty much everything found there such as Themes/Customize/Menus/Widgets is available to be edited via the dashboard you are currently using.
