Appearance of contact form
-
Dear Sirs, I would like my contact form to look smaller and neater. Kindly teach me how to do it. I saw one of the WordPress staff assisting another forum member with her website, but I didn’t see a help tutorial. Could you kindly assist? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there. The support document for contact forms can be found here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/ You will see the support doc makes no mention of changing the appearance of the form itself.
It might be possible to change the form’s appearance by adding custom CSS to your site, but you will need an upgrade to do that.
You can post your question in the CSS customisation forum for info on what code will be needed to make this change: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform
See here for more info on purchasing the custom design upgrade:

Thank you kokkieh. I do apologise as I have tried to do a lot of research but I do not understand the codes at all. I have purchased the custom CSS upgrade but sadly, I do not know how to use it to its full potential. I will try the CSS customisation forum. Thank you once again! :)

Thank you! I have tried your links and they are indeed v helpful. I now know a little about tags but anything that requires me to write the codes myself, I’m totally lost. I’ve written to the creator of the theme I’m using and hopefully he can help me soon.

Have you considered using a different contact plug-in? I remember when I set up my blog I wasn’t happy with the contact form included with WordPress. Here is what I use and it is free
Fast Secure Contact Form
No harm in checking it out to see if it solves your problem. It is very flexible with a lot of options including size adjustments.

@gwmac
There is no option to install plugins on WordPress.com blogs. You have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG website, which is why it was possible for you, but it is not possible for @foldsofjem. http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different and what works on one does not work on the other. That’s why there are separate support forums and support pages for the two platforms: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The ONLY way to insert contact forms on WordPress.com is via the shortcode as explained in the support document. Trying to insert one via html also won’t work as the software will strip out the tags needed to create a form as those tags aren’t allowed on WordPress.com (http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/)

Thanks kokkieh for the clarification. I guessed it as much, when I was reading it up.
I also read up a bit about radio button alignment with text, and played around with the shortcodes, butthat didn’t turn out well. I think I need to read up more :)
