Appearance option disappeared
-
My Plane Theme website has a top menu with parent, child and grandchild drop downs. The appearance tap to modify these has suddenly disappeared from the options on the left of the screen.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, Custom menus have moved into the Customizer in the Calypso interface. If you prefer to use the WP Admin interface, you can still find Menus under Appearance there.

Hi Jennifer,
I am not very expert with WordPress, having only started my first blog less than one year ago. I just picked a theme (Plane) which seemed to meet my needs, since it had a top menu with parent, child and grandchild drop downs. I thought that this structure was part of the Plane Theme and not a custom menu. I don’t understand what you mean by Calypso interface, nor do I understand how to access the WP Admin interface.

The Calypso dashboard is just WordPress.com staff’s codename for the “My Sites” dashboard used by the majority of users these days. As @justjennifer said, you can edit your menu by clicking on “customize” on the left.
Some WordPress.com users still prefer the more traditional interface of the “old” wp-admin dashboard. Yours can be found at https://rodwargaming.wordpress.com/wp-admin

Hello again. Sorry if I was cryptic.
You can change the menu that appears at the top of your site in the Custom Menu tab of your site’s Customizer. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/
When you are on this screen in the dashboard https://wordpress.com/customize/rodwargaming.wordpress.com you’ll see the tab for Menus on the left side of that next screen. Open that and you can make and save any changes to your existing menu or create a new menu. More on that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
(thanks @themagicrobot!)
