Appeareance of Blog

Hello, I´m using WordPress for first time so maybe I have a silly doubt but I really don´t know how to resolve this.
I´m using de Boardwalk theme and I don´t know How to change the way you can see my homepage, I want to put images bellow the titles (right now you only can see the title over a big portion of color).
In the Demo of the theme you can see a blog with slide bar with images but mine´s is just a slide bar with colors. how can i put the images there?
