appearing as an advert for Wp.com themes in google searches

  • Unknown's avatar

When I am looking for my site in Google I don’t see the url listed (although I have made sure through google webmaster tools that it IS indexed. Instead the first reference to my site is this:

    http://theme.wordpress.com/credits/londoncommercialmortgages.com/

    instead of this:

    http://www.londoncommmercialmortgages.com

Obviously with the best will in the world I am more interested in promoting my own site than I am in promoting wp.com themes and letting people know “about how London Commercial Mortgages customized Twenty Thirteen”…

Why is the real site not ranking above this wp.com “advertorial” and how do I change this?

    Thanks and best wishes

    Brian

    Hi Brian,

I see that you added the domain on March 5th, 2014. WordPress.com automatically sends notifications to Google with every update. However, search engines can take 4 to 6 weeks (or more) to add any new sites.
