Appears to be 2 home pages

When looking at all pages I sometimes see there are two home pages. I want only one. The home page that is defaulting has no content and the featured image was removed. I want the home page with content and featured image to display as default.
Secondly, I have a quarterly newsletter page within my menu. I have 3 posts that I want to display within the quarterly newsletter’s drop down. How do I do this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Use a custom menu to hide the Home page you don’t want.
Tag or categorize those articles Newsletter and make the newsletter page tab a category page in your custom menu.

My default page says: “nothing found.” If I click a menu item the display header and content are correct. How do I get my Home page menu item to be my blog default?
-
Unfortunately, I can not help since I have exactly the same problem, so I’m eagerly awaiting input from experts
-
I’m wondering if the “nothing found” message has anything to do with a hidden blog that’s empty? It has bodi23wordpress.com as it’s owner, too?

re: front page error messageNothing Found
Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.By default the front page of the blog is the only page that will display all published posts on it. As soon as you publish a post not a page the error message will be gone. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

re: two front pages
By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post. However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, and know that static front pages are traffic killers, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.
