Apply code/meta tag to blog for google page & pinterest

  Greetings: I would like to add/verify my blog address to my google+ page & pinterest page. They need verification by applying a code to the template.

  Hi Eurello! I recently mapped our domain from GoDaddy to the wordpress blog. When I follow the instructions that you listed above to verify the pages…error messages continue to come up. Thanks for your help.

  Hi there – The code that you’ve entered into webmaster tools does not look quite correct. Can you please explain a bit more what you’d like to accomplish by verifying your site with Google?

  Do you want to connect your Google+ account to your WordPress.com blog, or do you want to verify your domain with Google so you can use their webmaster tools to get additional information about how people are finding your site? Or something else? There are a few different ways to do this, depending on your goal. :)

  Greetings! Happy New Year:) I would like to just link the website on my Google+ page. When I apply the meta tag to Tools in wordpress…it doesn’t link the two on the google+ page when I click test website. This is the message I receive: Check that the line of code was added to your site’s homepage and that the modified homepage is live on your site. Then try testing again. Everything seems to work just fine with pinterest when verifying/linking it, but not Google+. Thanks!

  Hi there – That tool is not for linking your site to Google+; rather, it’s for verifying your site with Google’s webmaster tools:
  Webmaster Tools

  To link your site to Google+, go to Settings->Sharing here:
  https://letterstomyspouse.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharing

  There, you can connect to Google+ using Publicize if you want each of your posts to be published on your Google+ page:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/#google-profiles-and-pages

  And/or you can connect your Google+ profile:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/google-plus-profile/
