Hi allaboutanniesite,
Sorry to read about your issue with WordAds and that does seem confusing as it states in the WordPress documentation at https://en.support.wordpress.com/monetize-your-site/ that you should qualify based on being a Premium Plan
Who is eligible for WordAds?
Users upgrading to the WordPress.com Premium or Business plans have automatic access to the WordAds program and can set up advertising on their sites immediately.
WordAds does follow certain standards that can be viewed here – https://wordads.co/2012/09/06/wordads-is-for-family-safe-sites/; would this explain your ineligibility?
FYI – starting tomorrow (Sept 19) support email and chat will be back online. If you wish to discuss this with staff within those options. For now, I’m going to add the modlook tag to your thread to get their attention for you.
Hope this helps to get some clarity on your issue,
James -
Hi James
the link does not explain my ineligiblity as I deem my website to be family safe.
I will look into contacting a staff member tomorrow.
thanks

Hi allaboutanniesite,
The link described at the bottom other possible reasons besides just not being family safe. This includes:
Other Categories That Can Cause Blacklisting
We see other sites that get black-listed by advertisers for the following reasons:
1) Illegal downloads or copyright violations. More on that here.
2) Comment spam that is not family safe. WordPress.com’s Akismet will filter comment spam for you but some sites over-ride those recommendations. We recommend that you trust Akismet as we find many comment spams that are offensive.
3) Extreme violence or hate – even if its of a historical nature. Advertisers don’t want to appear next to images related to genocide, cannibalism, etc.
4) Content is not unique or valuable. Some sites are created with content copied from others sites with just a minimal number of changes. Advertisers generally feel such sites are not a good complement to their ads. More on that here.
Apologies if this isn’t of any further assistance,
James -

Hi there,
You do qualify for Wordads and you should’ve been able to activate everything by going to:
https://wordpress.com/plans/my-plan/
However, I just put that through for you manually from my end. You can now finish setting up WordAds via https://wordpress.com/ads/settings/ or the new “WordAds” section under your blog at https://wordpress.com/.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
