Applying CSS changes using Firebug
-
This is the first time I’ve tried to customize a site. I’m sort of familiar with html but I can’t figure out how to transfer changes that I made in firebug to my website. If I make changes in the left html column how do I copy over the Css to the WordPress customizer? Am I simply copying and pasting just the Css section in the right column that was altered? Or should I just check off start from scratch and copy the entire css? I tried watching tutorials for hours last night but I’m still lost.

@jessectorres, at WordPress.com, we cannot edit the HTML. Since this is a multi-user environment, we all share the same WordPress and theme files.
We can however create CSS rules to override the styling of a site. To do that, you would need to purchase the Custom Design Upgrade, which you can do from within your dashboard at Store > Store.
You can try out and preview Custom Design before you buy as explained here.
