Over the years I have approved a number of comments. But they do not appear below the corresponding posts.

Which comments from which username accounts do not appear on which posts please? I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I never see the comments on the main page of the blog, where a string of postings appear. Since that is usually the only place I look, I hadn’t seen them at all. But after submitting my query, I happened to look at one of the affected pages as a stand-one page, reached by clicking on a hyperlink to that particular posting. The comment was present in that version. One instance is http://thepoliblog.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/credo-action-moveon-chemical-warfare-in-syria-and-the-trains-to-auschwitz/, in which the comment was by Luanne (writersite). Since most readers look at the main page, they unfortunately would not realize that a discussion was present. Thanks for your help.

Now I understand what you mean I have removed the tagging for Staff. Unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, know that the front pages of our blogs “showcase content” and comments are collapsed on that page. You cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.
