Approving every post to my blogs
-
Every time someone posts to my blogs I have to approve the post before is gets posted.
I would rather allow posts to show immediately after posting and without my having to approve each one.
Am I just not seeing the setting that would allow posting without my approval?
I don’t mind getting the post via e-mail, that way I can delete offending posts.

Do you mean blog posts or comments? As for the “offending posts” please give us a direct link to one of them.
-
No offending posts….
Example: I have a (non-static) main page. I have Medical, Personal, Travel, Florida, and About sub pages.
If my son or my friends make a comment (right – those are not posts I guess) I get an e-mail showing the comment and I have to approve it every time regardless of who sends it.
I would rather their “comments” go directly to the appropriate page where comment was made.
Does that make more sense? Forgive me, I’m actually relatively new to blogging.
Thanks. -
Added comment: My having to approve every comment to one of my blogs makes me think that I have the blogs set to be moderated.
I do not wish to moderate comments, unless they become a problem. -
The best way for them not to become a problem is to moderate them. :)
There is another setting you can use that will hold all first time commenters’ comments for approval and will allow them to post after that. See this: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#before-a-comment-appears

Thank you Justjennifer. Apparently I had it right all along. My two followers do not post often. Had either posted another message I shouldn’t have received the “Approve” message.
I will continue reading your most welcomed reference. Lots of good information there!
