APPROVING FEEDBACK COMMENTS

  Hi, I can see new comments to my guestbook page and have had email notifications about them, but when I go to my dashboard, they aren’t anywhere when i click on ‘comments’ and it says there are none pending. I found them in feedback under ‘form responses’ but there’s nothing i can see how to approve/upload them to my page? What am I missing/not doing? Any help please?

  Hi there,

  You are referring to the contact form on this page, yes? https://lynmackaymusic.wordpress.com/guestbook/

  To clarify, that form is intended to allow site visitors to contact you privately (so you don’t have to share your email address to the public) but it’s not meant to allow you to post them to the public.

  If you wish you could copy the contents and paste them into the page manually, but there is not a way to “approve” those submissions in a way that will automatically post them to the page.

  Instead you may want to enable comments on that page, and allow folks to leave you a public comment instead? We have a guide here for enabling comments on any page or blog post: https://wordpress.com/support/comments/#on-a-post-or-page
