    Hello,

    having trouble editing the footer in the home page or on any page (as the home page duplicates to all pages) for that matter.

    Can anyone tell me how I can edit the footer and its information in it?

    Thank you

  • Hi, sure thing. Are you just hoping to change your widgets? If so, go to My Site > Customize, and click on Widgets. If you want to change “Powered by WordPress” at the bottom, that’s under Site Identity. And your social media icon links are under your menu.

    If you need help with any of that, you can reach out here: https://wordpress.com/help/contact

    Or, if I’ve missed the point and there’s some other change you wanted to make, let us know what you want to change. We’ll try to point you in the best direction.

    Hello,

    Yes, I think you have missed the point haha.

    I can change the basic things, but I can’t change the layout, style, blocks or content in my footer. I can only change the social menu or the powered by WordPress part.

    Currently, I have a email sign up block and it is pushed to the left and I want it to stretch all the way across the whole footer.

    I see in some help guides, it’s in customiser and menus, but I seem to not have this.

    Any help would be more appreciated.

    That is a widget, added via the Customizer, rather than a block, added via the editor. And this is how footer widgets in the Aquene theme is designed to work – this theme arranges footer widgets into up to four columns, depending on the screen width, and they’ll always appear arranged from left to right, based on the order in which you added them.

    But we can override that with some custom CSS code. Go to My Site ->Design ->Customize ->CSS. Then paste the following code on a new line in the edit box you’ll see:

    /* Make footer-widget full-width */
    .site-footer .widget, .site-footer .widget #subscribe-email input {
      width: 100%;
    }
