Archive category removal

  I want to remove several Archive categories, how do I do that? My blog is
  http://xenopolitan.wordpress.com/. There are 4 archive categories and I want to remove 2 of them. How do I do that?

  I don’t know what you mean by Archive categories.
  We have Archives and we have Categories.
  Both automatically update when we publish posts.
  Will you please describe exactly what you mean?

  On the right side of the blog home page, there is the following vertical list, please see below. I want to remove three items: 1. “February 2009”, 2. “January 2009” and 3. “October 2008” that are under the heading “Archives”. How do I do that?

  Do you understand that in order to remove anything from displaying in an Archives widget which displays, all published posts on the blog automatically you have to delete the Posts (not Pages) that are causing the display.
