Hi,
WordPress.com automatically archives posts. The blog page consists of all archived posts. Other archive post pages include author post archives, date (year, month, date) archives, category pages, and tag archive pages. Some examples:
- author archive page: https://dontwasteyourwisdom.wordpress.com/author/stephanierhoward
- October 2022 post archive: https://dontwasteyourwisdom.wordpress.com/2022/10/
You may provide links to post archive pages in various ways, including a menu, a sidebar widget, a list in the content of a page or post, etc. Please let us know if I’ve misunderstood your request.
If you’re asking how to save a backup file (or files) of the site, or of its posts only, then see the Export Your WordPress.com Site support page, and the Using Export as a Backup Tool section of that support page.

Also, if you start a new site with a different URL, as suggested by staff in your topic Changing the URL and archiving the blog post, then you may leave the present site as it is, and it will remain as you left it.
Changing the URL, which you originally requested in that other thread, is another possibility. Everything remains intact if you change the URL — no archiving needs to be done — but the permalinks of posts and pages will be changed to reflect the new subdomain created when you change the URL. Instructions for changing the URL are found in the Change a Site Address support page.
